YES, that
IS a plastic garbage can being used for a mount and those ARE
Alliance TV antenna rotators !!!
And a plastic bucket is being used to hold up the north end of
the polar mount...
The lens shown in these photos is a 16 - 160 mm Fujinon motorized
zoom lens.
The front lens is approx. 4 inches in diameter!
The CCD camera hanging on the back of the lens is NOT visible in
any of these photos.
The TV antenna rotors are controlled from the printer port of a
laptop computer and are variable speed.
The system can be used over a local network or the internet and
can be set to autotrack any object.
It is a PLEASURE to be able to look around the skies from inside
a nice warm house instead of standing in 2 feet of snow with the
wind blowing!
