I posted this info on this website when I did this mod quite a few years ago. However, when someone asked about it and I went looking for it I couldn't find it. Somehow the link got deleted! So here it is again. The text was lost in the confusion but I think the photos are pretty much all that is required.

This is a VERY cheap way to make use of a GPS derived 10 Khz signal instead of the slow to lock up 1 PPS signal !!!


Locating TTL (3.3 volt!) RS-232, 1 PPS, and 10 Khz signals on the circuit board

NOTE: You can power the board from any DC source from 3.7 to 8 vdc and the GPS unit will lock up to whatever satellites are available. You can tell when it's locked when the LED starts flashing at 1 pulse per second. NO COMPUTER is needed to make use of the signals noted.
